About Dr. Joel Jin
If you've spent years pushing through pain, fatigue, or symptoms that don't have a clear explanation, and you're exhausted from being told everything looks normal, you're not imagining it, and you're not alone.
I'm a licensed psychologist with specialized training in the psychology of chronic pain and stress-related physical symptoms. I work with high-achieving people who are used to solving hard problems, until their bodies stop cooperating.
How I work
My approach draws on three evidence-based methods: Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), Emotion Awareness and Expression Therapy (EAET), and attachment-oriented depth work. Together, they address not just what you're feeling, but why your nervous system learned to respond this way and how to change it.
Background
I hold a PhD in clinical psychology and am a licensed psychologist in Washington State with PSYPACT authorization to practice across 43 participating states and jurisdictions. I also serve as a graduate psychology faculty member and practicum supervisor, and have published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and two books with the American Psychological Association.
Working together
I offer virtual sessions for adults across Washington and 42 additional PSYPACT states. If what you've read resonates, I'd welcome a free consultation to see if we're a good fit.
